Check out our FREE IIT-JEE Crash Course (Video Course with Assignments)When to Apply?
Ans: The advertisement for the KVPY 2019 will appear in all the national dailies normally on the Technology Day (May 11) and the Second Sunday of July.
In which Class should I apply? 11th or 12th ?
Ans: You should definitely try to clear it in Class 11 if you can. If you are unable to clear in class 11 then you will have the chance to give the exam again in Class 12.
What is the Syllabus for KVPY 2018 ?
Ans: See there is no prescribed syllabus as such. But questions are from Class 11 and Class 12 portion. So you need to study your syllabus for Class 11 and Class 12, depending on the stream you are appearing for.
Which Books to follow for KVPY 2019?
Ans: I believe most of the KVPY Aspirants are JEE Main and Advanced or NEET Aspirants too. So there is no point in disturbing your on going preparation and doing a lot of extra books for KVPY. My recommendation is that you carry on with your preparation of extrance exams and follow the same study material for this exam too. Only thing you need to keep in mind is that you should train yourself for the KVPY Pattern. Try to attempt previous year papers in the given time frame as mock tests. (Refer Next Point)
How to test myself?
Ans:Â Here is the list of Previous Year KVPY Papers. These are available on official website and I am providing direct links. No one should be allowed to sell these papers as instructed by KVPY:
